The year is 1989. In a villa in Jumeirah, 12 children are happily learning at the newly formed Horizon English School.

The school quickly grew beyond that first villa, moving to a nearby site and becoming part of the fabric of its community. More than 35 years later, Horizon English School Jumeirah is still there: an Outstanding-rated school known for academic excellence, happiness and the strong relationships between students, families and teachers.

Over the years, families have often asked the same question: could their children continue their Horizon education beyond Primary?

Now, they can.

Horizon has grown alongside Dubai, and Horizon Town Square is the next chapter in that story. Opening in September 2027, the new campus will take the Horizon experience from FS1 through to Year 13, giving students the opportunity to grow within one community from the age of 3 to 18.

As Principal of Horizon English School Jumeirah, I have had the privilege of seeing first-hand what makes Horizon special. That experience will help shape Horizon Town Square: taking what we have learned about great teaching, strong relationships and a genuine sense of belonging, and building on it for a new generation of families.

But heritage is not passed on through a name alone. It is passed on through people.

Some members of the Horizon team have dedicated 10, 20 and even 30 years to the school and its families. That depth of experience, combined with the way our schools will learn from and work alongside one another, will help ensure that Horizon Town Square feels unmistakably Horizon.

The same values. The same focus on happiness, belonging and achievement. The same belief in what every child can become.

It began with 12 children in a villa in Jumeirah. Now, the Horizon story is growing again, with room for students to continue their journey all the way from 3 to 18.
